Our why

Why HUG exists

HUG was born from three moments. The grief of losing my grandfather and having nothing to hold. The loss of my dog and my husband finding me a blanket because he knew I needed something. And watching my son stim and calm the moment his granny wrapped her arms around him. But lately HUG found me too. In the burnout. In the exhaustion of holding everything together for everyone else. In the moments I just needed someone safe to hold onto. HUG is a custom weighted plushie made in the likeness of your person. For the grieving. For the neurodivergent. For the burnt out. We all need one.
